Historical Pedigree: Ragus Sir Bear

Born in 1969 with one littermate and no full siblings an interesting ancestor here is Hunston Half Pint, appearing three times in one generation behind Sir Bear's dam. Though Sir Bear did not complete his championship he is distinguished as the first recorded Black and Tan CC winner in the breed. Of the 36 half siblings on his sire's side, only one achieved her championship. There were no half siblings on his dam's side. Producing a total of 18 litters his get totaled 51 puppies, 3 of which earned their championship titles. Sir Bear was one of the earliest Ragus foundation dogs. He was bred twice each to Eng. Ch. Edburton Hillarity for a total of 5 offspring and Eilean Shona for a total of 4 get and 3 times to Ragus Baby Doll for a total of 9 offspring. With the now common small litters, it is interesting to note he sired litters of 3 and 4 puppies.
