Historical Pedigree: Hunston High Flier

Owned by Mrs. Sylvia Warren of River Bend Kennels and bred by Mrs. K. Southwick, Flier was bred in 1957 with an inbreeding coefficient of 19.4%. He had two littermates and 5 full siblings, all carrying the Hunston prefix and only one of which earned her title, Eng. Ch. Hunston Hedge Betty. Flier's sire had significant impact on the breed at the time and Flier had 177 half siblings on his sire's side as a number of the significant kennels of the day bred to Alder. Only one of these half siblings earned a title and none of Flier's half siblings on his dam's side earned their championship. Flier was bred 6 times to produce a total of 8 get. He was bred primarily to River Bend bitches and was bred one time to Ch. Colonsay Kelly's Eye to produce Flier's only champion get, Ch. Bethway's Tony.
