A red dog bred in 1957 by Mrs. E. O'Hanlong of England and imported by Mrs. Stanford C. Mallory of Wendover Kennels, Foxhunter died in 1966 at the age of 9. Foxhunter was tightly bred with an inbreeding coefficient of 32.5%. He had two littermates but no full siblings.. Of the 10 half siblings on his sire's side and 7 on his dam's side there were no recorded champions. He himself was bred 17 times, 3 of which were to Wendover Apple. He produced only 24 offspring with 4 champions including the significant Eng. Ch. Gotoground Widgeon Bunny and 3 Am. Champions.
