Bred in 1958 by A. Pesci and owned by Mrs. S. Baird Gambler had an inbreeding coefficient of 13.6%. He had one littermate that did not earn a title and had no full siblings. Of the 29 half siblings on his sire's side there was one champion, Ch. Wendover Half Pound. There were 2 half siblings on his dam's side, neither of which earned their title. Gambler was bred only twice producing a total of 3 puppies, none of which earned their championship.
