The 4th recorded Champion, Smudge was owned and bred by Mrs. D. Normandy Rodwell in 1935 and earned his title in 1937 with 55 CC's to his credit. He had two littermates but no full siblings. Of the 6 half siblings on his sire's side there was one Champion bitch, Eng. Ch. Miss Manette. There were no Champions among the 8 half siblings on his dam's side. Bred to only two different bitches for a total of 3 litters, Smudge produced only 5 offspring, none of which were titled.
